Dr Willem J Botha
Registered Dentist

Dr Botha qualified as a Dentist in 1994 in Pretoria South Africa, where he managed his own practice until 1999. In June 1999 he came to England where he worked in Clacton-on-Sea, Witham and Harwich.
Dr Botha developed his skills by completing the Implantology Diploma in Manchester in 2005. He also became sedation accredited by SAAD (Society for the Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry) during this time.
In 2017, he expanded his skills further by completing a MSc in Oral Surgery at UCLAN University, and in 2018 he completed a year post graduate certification in Endodontics. Between 2019 and 2021 he completed a course in Orthodontics from the Clinical Foundation for Orthopaedics and Orthodontics. This supported his special interest in TMJ (the jaw joint).
In 2024, he took ownership of Valley Dental Practice following 12 years as an Associate here.
Other than dentistry, Willem enjoys hiking with his family on the weekends, looking after his chickens and gardening.
Dr Clarence Maxwell Botha
Registered Dentist

Maxwell is our Associate Dentist who qualified from the University of Cardiff in 2022. He joined the practice shortly after to assist us with all your dental needs. Maxwell is known here for his calming manner; helping to ease patient’s through their dental treatment. In his spare time he enjoys walking and spending time with his wife.
Pippa
Registered Hygienist

Pippa qualified in Oral Health Science from Essex University in 2014, after beginning her dental career in 2010. She joined Valley Dental Practice in 2020 where she has been brightening smiles as a Hygienist ever since.
As a new mum, Pippa cherishes time with family and friends more than ever.
She loves travelling abroad and exploring new places – seeking out unique experiences. Pippa also enjoys visiting charity shops and boot sales, where she enjoys hunting for hidden treasures and giving new life to preloved things.
Gracie
Registered Hygienist
GDC Reg No: 287122
Gracie joined the team in 2024 as Hygienist to help us with the increasing demand for hygiene appointments. She qualified from the University of Essex in Oral Health Science in 2023.
She has settled in well and is a great addition to our team. Our patients have been pleased with the gentle care she delivers.
Gracie enjoys holidays abroad to explore new places.
Helen
Registered Dental Nurse

Helen has been known to help out at Valley Dental Practice temporarily for many years, but joined the team permanently in the summer of 2022.
Helen has been practicing in the dental surgery environment along side Dentists since 2005, gaining her qualifications in 2009. She has had training and experience in general dental nursing, oral surgery, implants, orthodontics and sedation along her way.
She thoroughly loves her job dental nursing and helping the patients with all their dental needs.
When Helen is not working, she loves to spend time walking with her dog Teddy.
Sharna
Practice Manager and Registered Dental Nurse

Sharna joined the practice in 2010 as an apprentice Dental Nurse. She went on to gain qualifications in Sedation nursing, Implant nursing and Oral Health Education.
After years of dental experience, she is now our Practice Manager working towards her qualification in Leadership and Management.
She enjoys her role assisting with the run of the practice, and loves helping to improve people’s smiles when dental nursing.
Outside of work, Sharna loves to be outside in the garden, travelling or walking with her dog.
Patrice
Registered Dental Nurse

Registered Dental Nurse Patrice has been with us since 2015 and is a valued team member.
Patrice has worked in dentistry since 2010, gaining experience in general dentistry and oral surgery.
You will find Patrice at the reception greeting you with her amazing smile! When she’s not there, Patrice will be alongside Dr W Botha in surgery working hard assisting.
Patrice enjoys dental nursing and being part of the team. She is our dedicated First Aider and Fire Marshal.
When not at work, Patrice is busy being a wonderful Mummy to her beautiful children and looking after her husband and dog.
Millie
Registered Dental Nurse

Registered Dental Nurse Millie joined the team in 2017 and qualified in 2020.
Millie has gained experience in general dentistry, oral surgery, and oral hygiene treatments. She has gained her certificate in Dental Radiography, and is soon to qualify in Oral Health Education.
Millie’s a great team member and thoroughly enjoys her work. She is a brilliant lead in the decontamination room and helps our team to maintain excellent infection control standards. When you are in the practice, you will find Millie working alongside the dentists and hygienists.
When Millie’s not working in the practice, she loves spending time with her family and being outside.
Mallory
Registered Dental Nurse

Registered Dental Nurse Mallory joined the team in 2019 and qualified in 2022.
Mallory has been practicing in the dental surgery alongside dentists since 2019. She’s had training and experience in general nursing, oral surgery, oral hygiene treatments and reception duties. She is a great team member and multi-tasker! You will find her working hard along-side the clinicians or working on the desk in the reception area.
She enjoys her varied role in the dental practice and loves to assist with the patient journey. Mallory is our responsible person for legionella and dental waterline management.
When Mallory is not working, she loves to spend time with her partner and two doggies.
Christina
Registered Dental Nurse

Registered Dental Nurse Christina joined the team in 2023, and qualified in Dental Nursing in July 2024.
Christina is a great member of the team and has settled in very well.She shows great enthusiasm to dentistry and will make a great dental nurse. Christina loves being in the dental surgery and learning new things. She will complete her First Aider training this year.
When not working at the surgery, she likes attending concerts and spending time with her husband and her dog.
Wendy
Receptionist
Receptionist Wendy joined the practice team in 2020 – bringing her fabulous administration skills. Wendy has worked in dentistry administration for over 20 years.
She is a great team member, attending to the reception area and patient queries. She thoroughly enjoys her job as well as helping the patients feel at ease here at the surgery.
When Wendy is not in practice, she loves to take her dog on long walks with her partner.
